Executive protection of clients in California and across the nation during the epidemic is by force changing. Close protection of principles, either armed or unarmed, is a different now than it was in December, 2022. It is not different in substance. But it has had to be modified in some regards that are important and essential.
Because of stay-at-home orders, bans on larger-than-10-gatherings, and business headquarters or outlets not being open yet, millions of us are working from home. This includes many people who employ the executive security services such as we at WWPro provide. Celebrities, wealthy people, executives and people of note are working from home or designated shelter dwellings. The rules for protecting them are being subtly rethought and rewritten as social distancing and mask-wearing are normalized.
Intuitively, it may be concluded that the working from home (as well as living there) would be easier to protect. Yet, that’s not the case. Psychologically, the bad guys are thinking this is a great opportunity for intrusions or other harmful acts because people will assume that private protection is more relaxed.
We certainly don’t think that. We’ve developed several methodologies that specifically address covid-19 situations for our principles. This includes establishing an “inside bubble” for how to protect the principle’s home both from intruders and coronavirus with deliveries being more common, and to creating an “outside bubble” that is now built with the pandemic as part of the protection and response. Disinfecting is also all part of this.
